The old song written by John Peterson goes…

He owns the cattle on a thousand hills,
The wealth in every mine;
He owns the rivers and the rocks and rills,
The sun and stars that shine.
Wonderful riches, more than tongue can tell -
He is my Father so they’re mine as well;
He owns the cattle on a thousand hills -
I know that He will care for me.

My parents taught me this song as a kid and I find the tune ringing in my ears. All the money in the world is His and He is my Heavenly Father. I’ve heard so much complaining about our economy and how hard things are today. It’s important to remember that He will provide our needs.

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? …But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
