We saw a sign that read “free” next to a couple of used bikes out by the road so we put them in the trunk and took them home.
They are the perfect size for Chesley and Kaden. Now they each have a bike to ride at home and at Grandma’s house too! Kaden just started riding a real bike with training wheels this summer and is doing very well.
Last night the boys had a good time trying on new clothes that had been given to us. Kaden enjoyed showing off his new slippers while Chesley tried on the winter hat.
It’s now the in thing to be money conscious. I’ve always considered myself to be a penny pincher though I’ve many times gotten what I paid for, as they say.
I did something new and had to share it with you. It’s called Freecycle. I didn’t pay anything, so figured I had nothing to lose.
Well, my iron died and I use it all the time. I thought about buying the cheapest new one I could, but, decided to give Freecycle a try first. Two days after I posted that I was looking for an iron, I got one. The iron works and didn’t cost me anything other than a few bucks in gas to go pick it up! Can’t beat that!
Chesley is very excited to have his own computer. It’s an old Mac that Karl had given to him and it works great. It came with a bunch of kids games like Reader Rabbit and Curious George. For now it’s on the living room floor but once Kaden gets mobile we’re gonna have to find a new home for it.
