The Herricks have our own garden this year. It’s been a lot of fun to plant it, weed it, and tending to it. Karl and I have put a lot of work into it and find it relaxing. We have been quite adventuresome in what all we planted. There are 16 tomato plants, zucchini, summer squash, acorn squash, cucumbers, peppers, fennel, snap peas, green beans, potatoes, radishes, carrots, watermelon, and strawberries. Many of those we’ve never grown before but it’s fun to try new things. We are already beginning to enjoy the harvest of our work! Yum, yum!

flower

I took this picture of a flower today and began to play with it in Gimp when I came up with this. Isn’t it so cool? I love taking really cool pictures. Some day we have to get a digital SLR.

I was sitting inside when I happened to catch a glimpse of the sky out my window. I just had to run out and catch a few pictures!

Ever wonder where the end of the rainbow is? Well, it’s right outside our window! Yesterday we peaked out our window to see if it was raining only to find a giant, vibrant rainbow ending right down in the valley behind our place! It turned into a perfect opportunity to review with Chesley the promise God made when He first put the rainbow in the sky.

This is the sunset on Georgian Bay off of the Bruce trail. It was a fun time with the guys during building week… just before Jungle Camp started at New Tribes Mission Canada!
