Last night the boys had a good time trying on new clothes that had been given to us. Kaden enjoyed showing off his new slippers while Chesley tried on the winter hat.

It really is Free

It's now the in thing to be money conscious.  I've always considered myself to be a penny pincher though I've many times gotten what I paid for, as they say.

I did something new and had to share it with you. It's called Freecycle. I didn't pay anything, so figured I had nothing to lose.

Well, my iron died and I use it all the time. I thought about  buying the cheapest new one I could, but, decided to give Freecycle a try first. Two days after I posted that I was looking for an iron, I got one. The iron works and didn't cost me anything other than a few bucks in gas to go pick it up! Can't beat that!

Aunt Deanna

Deanna got a ride down to our place with some friends and spent the entire weekend with us.  We were so excited about her visit and had a really great time. We played crazy Uno, went to a corn maze, and had a delicious turkey dinner to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving complete with a pumpkin pie. She fit right in at our place and it was hard to see her go. Even Kaden had grown attached and cried when she left!

Today we went for a shorter 2 mile bike ride and had a  great time. We took great pictures, collected pine cones, and enjoyed the beautiful weather. The sun was warm and the breeze was refreshingly cool. We'll have to do it again really soon!

A year ago we started what looks to be a yearly tradition of raspberry picking.  We again went to Rowe's Farm near Mason, MI and had a great time. Chesley and Kaden both ate as many berries as they could while Karl and I filled the containers. As you can see, we had a wonderful time!
