Karl had a long weekend so on Friday we made a last minute decision to drive up to Houghton Lake and spend the night at his Grandma Irish’s cottage. On Saturday his Dad (Fred) and Cathy came up too and then they took us out on their new boat. It was cool and a bit windy out on the lake but we all had a good time!
Today is Karl’s 27th birthday! Chesley and I have a bit if a party planned for tonight. It should be fun, though Chesley has already shown us that he’s not good at keeping secrets!

When I went into the boys’ room to get them up from their naps, for the first time, I found Kaden standing up. He had pulled himself up and was clutching tightly to the rail of his crib. He’s growing so fast!
Kaden is over ten months and is a very different baby than he was just a month or two ago. Why? He is crawling all over now and enjoys following Chesley around the house. He also finally has his first teeth, the two bottom, both of which he got the same week he began to crawl. With his strawberry blond hair and big blue eyes, he’s a cute kid!
On Saturday we spent the day hanging out, enjoying being home, and not traveling. But we couldn’t stay in doors all day with the weather so nice. So we drove over to Potterville, MI and played at their large playground. Kaden loved the swings the most!
