Quarter Century
Tuesday, October 30th, 2007So I’m officially 25 years old now and I can’t help but look back and think of what all has happened in those years. I have lived 19 of those years as a single. During that time I moved at least 16 times, went to 10 different schools, and became a dual citizen (,meaning I’m both Canadian and American). I went on a short-term missions trip called Interface to Papua New Guinea. That’s where I met Karl Herrick, who down the road became a good friend, boyfriend, fiance, and husband all in less than a year. Since then I have lived in 8 different places, completed my Bachelors degree, gave birth to two boys, and celebrated my 5 year anniversary! Wow! So much has happened! I wonder what God has in store for me in the next 25 years. Hmmm…
Boys Growing Up
Friday, October 26th, 2007Chesley is going to be 4 years old in just a month from now. He loves to talk and always has lots of questions about everything. Kaden is 15 months old and is finally walking. He doesn’t talk much but he communicates what he wants pretty well. The two of them are a lot of fun to play with and we thank God for the privilege it is to be their Mom and Dad.
We’re Moving
Saturday, October 13th, 2007You may have heard… we’re moving! The new apartment is closer to where Karl works and is bit cheaper also. Other than that, it’s pretty much the same as the place we’ve been living at. We get the keys to our new apartment on Monday and then have 5 days to move all of our stuff and clean the old one. There’s a lot to do but the process is started and there’s no turning back now!
If you need our new address, just send us a quick email.
Car Trouble
Thursday, October 11th, 2007On Monday evening the Herrick family spent the last bit of time before dusk playing at Delta Mills Park. We had a wonderful time until it all was interrupted with some car trouble. Have you ever started up your car and not been able to get it out of park? (Yes, I tried pushing on the break.) But Karl and I were unable to figure out why it simply wouldn’t go into drive. So, we had to walk 1.5 miles home in the dark, through a construction site, with Kaden in the stroller and Chesley walking/being carried. In the end we found out that our shifter was broke and needed replaced. A new one was ordered and for now we shift by pushing down the white button you can see in the picture. It feels weird but at least it’s drivable!
