You may remember our home-made Christmas tree that we used last year. Well, we decided to drag it out for one last year before we toss it. So… it sits in our living room and is the topic of conversation when guests drop in. Hope you enjoy these pictures by the tree.

Yesterday we had Thanksgiving dinner with Mom and Dad Haynes. I made home made pumpkin and apple pie as well as Green Bean Salad and Marinated Butternut Squash. The green beans and squash were new recipes so it was fun to venture out and try something. I think we all agreed that the Green Bean Salad was good and the Marinated Butternut Squash some of us liked more than others. We all had a good time and dinner was great!

Late last-night, long after the boys bed time, we were out watching the fireworks. It was a lot of fun for all of us, setting off our own fireworks, munching on the parade candy, and then watching the big light show. I took several pictures of Chesley and I, but every time Chesley insisted on watching the sparkler he was holding. What was I thinking!? Who wants to look at the camera when they can watch the cool sparkler?
