All of you Windows / Mac lovers out there have just been given a tasty morsel courtesy of Yahoo.

Yep, they bought out Pixoria who are the makers of a JavaScript widget engine called Konfabulator. No it isn’t complicated and yes it is way cool. Fortunately for all of us, they are now making it free for the taking… as opposed to the dollars it used to cost. This reminds me of how Picasa was recently acquired and re-released as an unpaid product, courtesy of Google.

Download it and experience the goodness of desktop widgets and the colorful information they can provide. Google search from the desktop? Done. Weather with no browser? Done. Bible verses without a Bible? Done.
