Google News

Friday, 01 April 2005

One of the most revolutionary things that has happened to my Internet news browsing habits happened awhile back when I discovered Google News. They basically have webbots scan news sites and make decisions on which news articles to report.

Yeah, they make mistakes at times… but here is an interesting find I noticed today.

The webbots from Google News posted a link to a weblog —COMMENT— section. Interesting, huh? I like the idea that a comment section can be news worthy… but on the other hand, are we getting a tinge of “non-worthy” news sources?

To be fair however, it is a customized Google News page. The photo below is linked to what is highlighted.
