Here’s a picture of Gmail. Today I learned that the storage had jumped from 1,000 MB to 1,000,000 MB. Yeah, that’s from a gigabyte to a terabyte. Some have said that their storage didn’t go up… but mine sure did. I wonder if it will stick around…
I greyed out my email address and a person’s name that I emailed. I also put a box around the storage limit, and copied it to the same photo after I resized it so you could see clearly the full terabyte in all its glory.
Anything else in the image is original and non doctored.

Hi…nice journal…greeting from Singapore
Hi…where did you get an invite for gmail from? I’m desperate for an account, but being an active blogger doesn’t suffice, I guess. Any hints?
I have heard you can get a GMail invitation in the following ways:
1) Being a frequent Blogger.com user.
2) Having a Google Translations account.
3) Having a Google Answers account.
4) Through Gmail (this hasn’t worked for me)
5) Buying/Trading one from someone else.
This was a brief glitch in the Google email server. They fixed it I believe.
I’m looking to get an email account too… maybe I should join up with the Translations or Answers.
Did you see the Yahoo! Mail upgrades? 100mb, 10mb message size. They’re feeling the heat!
What will Hotmail do?
=)
Yeah… there have been some serious bugs this morning. The mail styles kept switching on me, and one guy wrote on Slashdot that Yahoo sent him this email,
“You are currently exceeding your Yahoo! Mail storage quota by a very large amount. You are only allowed -2048.0MB of storage but you are currently using 0.0MB of storage. Your account has been temporarily disabled from receiving new messages.
The easiest way to continue receiving your important email is to expand your mailbox. Yahoo! Mail offers 10, 25, 50 and 100MB of storage space starting at just $9.99/year.”
He commented on how Yahoo obviously wanted him to contribute storage to them!
Hopefully the bugs will be ironed out soon. :-)
